Let's talk about ministry. "Every Christian is a Minister." Some may say: I'm too young to minister, I'm too old to minister, or I'm too busy to minister, but every Christian is a minister.
Christians need to think Jesus, they need to proclaim Jesus, and they need to minister in Jesus' name. I am a minister because God says, "I Am A Minister."
You were created for ministry. Ephesians 2:10 -- "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good work, God has foreordained that we should walk in them."
You have been saved for ministry. Ephesians 2:22 -- "In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit." Not a serving Christian is a contradiction to scripture.
You are called to ministry. Ephesians 4:1 -- "I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith you are called."
I am not who I think I am
I am not who you think I am
I am who God says I am
God says I am a minister
You have been gifted for ministry. 1 Peter 7:10 -- "As every man has received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God."
You have been authorized for ministry. Matthew 28:19-20 -- "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo I am with you always, even to the end of the world."
You have been commanded to minister. Matthew 20:27-28 -- "And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant; even as the Son of Man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister and to His life as a ransom for many."
You are to be prepared to minister. Ephesians 6:11 -- "Put on the whole armor of God that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil." Expose yourself to training.
The Body of Christ needs your ministry. 1 Corinthians 12:27 -- "Now ye are the body of Christ and members in particular." When you don't do your part, others get cheated, others suffer, others are overloaded trying to do your part.
You are accountable for ministry. Romans 14:12 -- "So then, everyone of us shall give an account of himself to God."
You will be rewarded for ministy. Matthew 25:21 -- "His Lord said unto him, 'Well done thou good and faithful servant; thou has been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things; enter thou into the joy of the Lord.'" Well done -- come and share the Master's happiness!
Remember that people are watching you and your ministry. May God bless you in your ministry. No task is too large or too small when you are doing it in the name of the Lord.
